Laodicea was located at the crossroads of three churches in Asia Minor and was a center of administration and trade. Financial institutions and medical practices were advanced. Because of this comfortable environment, the Laodicean Christians had an easy lifestyle. They were in a state of spiritual blindness and nakedness in the eyes of the Lord.
